Currently there are over 400,000 people living on dialysis
in the USA and over 80,000 people waiting for a kidney transplant. 26 million people in the US - 1 in 7 - have
chronic kidney disease. The Renal Support Network and their dedicated
volunteers understand the many dilemmas the renal patient faces. With
support, education and encouragement, people can live productive lives and
achieve their dreams. "One Friend Can Make a Difference."
The patient-led Renal Support Network designs and implements programs that focus on patients,
providing informational materials and activities
that help improve their lives within a framework of positive reinforcement.
